It’s a new year and we are the Page every day …

A new year is a new beginning yes, and the Tarot has several cards that encompass all that we could look for in a new year. The World, the Ace of Wands, and the Fool, are all highly symbolic and packed with indications of a positive new cycle.

The World is the final card of the major arcana, the cycle has come to completion, which of course is the beginning of a new one. So much effort and hard work to get to this place, do not hesitate now to step through the victors wreath and claim your rewards! These include accomplishment, integration, fulfilment, wisdom gained from this now completed cycle that you can take with you into the next.

The Fool is of course the first card of the major arcana, he has no number but is zero which is infinite in possibility. He is filled with optimism, completely free under the sun, accepting all that the universe puts in his path. There is a relaxed joy in the moment being free and open to whatever comes. 

The Ace of Wands is the harbinger of success! The opportunities that present at this time are gifts from the gods. All the buds on the wands are ideas, project, opportunities, you name, waiting to be planted, and flourish!

Any of these cards showing up a spread are great indicators of good things ahead.

But Pages, why am I going on about Pages? 

The Page is the first in the court cards, starting out on the lowest rung of the ladder. The reality is,  we do that every day, every morning we step out into a new experience of life. The Druids had a saying: men make the world daily by their thoughts. Our relative reality, our experience of this world is definitely in constant creation - by us! So embrace the Page and begin everyday with that freshness, that understanding that we are here to learn. 

Look at the Page of Swords. He is standing on a small hill, the better to see all around. He is holding that sword like a compass needle, to see where it will direct him, and every part of his body is pointing in a different direction. There is no clearer image of being awake, aware, and looking for what is the best direction, option, to take, on this day.
